do you remember?

“Do you remember?” is a writing exercise designed to make you go back into a space to create material for the present. How you choose to SUMMARIES your material and present it is totally up to you. Now let’s begin.

Here is an example of a question that can be asked and used:

  • Do you remember your first best friend? (How did this make you feel? What memories stick with you and why? If you are no longer in contact with this individual how are things now?)
  • Do you have a new best friend? If so how does this differ to the previous. You can approach this so many ways.

You don’t need to use the question above as it’s only an example. You may not relate to the question at all. It’s possible you’ve never had a best-friend and that is absolutely fine. Maybe you are your own best-friend.

Memories significant to you can provide you with amps of material to create with. This is where you come in and brainstorm experiences of your first.

All that comes from this could transform into a poem, short story and more depending on who you are and what you want to gain from this exercise.
