Black Voices

This space is dedicated to Black voices, with a focus on writers of African and Caribbean heritage across the diaspora.
Here, we honour work shaped by history, ancestry, lived experience, and cultural memory — voices that carry both the weight of the past and the creativity of the present.
This is a space for deeper expression. A space where stories can exist without being softened, filtered, or reduced.
Through selected features, opportunities, and competitions, writers are invited to explore themes such as identity, history, generational experiences, mental health, and the realities that are often left unspoken within our communities.
This is not about forcing narratives. It is about making room for truth, reflection, and expression to exist freely.
While Black History Month remains an important part of this work, this space exists beyond a single moment. It is an ongoing commitment to holding and supporting Black voices within Poem Stellium.
