2027 Poetry Calendar Submissions

Submissions Open: 4 August 2026

Submissions are now open for the 2027 Poem Stellium Poetry Calendar.

This year, we invite poets to explore the inner world—the thoughts we don’t always say aloud, the emotions we carry, the memories that stay with us, and the stories that quietly shape who we are.

Theme

Mental Health & the Unconscious Mind

Memory. Healing. Reflection. Dreams. Silence. Survival. Hope. Fear. Growth.

We invite you to explore one simple question:

If your unconscious mind could speak, what would it say?

There is no right or wrong way to approach this theme. Your poem may be hopeful, vulnerable, symbolic, reflective, raw or deeply personal.

We are looking for honest, original creative expression and interpretations that feel true to you.

Submission Guidelines

Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting.

To be considered for the 2027 Poetry Calendar, your submission must meet the following requirements:

  • Submit one original poem
  • Maximum 9 lines
  • A title is required
  • Titles must be no longer than 2 words
  • One poem per person
  • Open to poets worldwide
  • You must be 18 or over to submit
  • Poems must be your own original work
  • £2.22 submission contribution per poem

Please check your poem carefully before submitting. Unfortunately, submissions that do not meet the guidelines cannot be considered.

Why Is There a 9-Line Limit?

The 2027 Poetry Calendar has been created with a completely redesigned layout.

Each page has been carefully designed around a fixed composition to create a consistent visual and reading experience throughout the calendar.

For this reason, all submitted poems must be 9 lines or fewer.

Unfortunately, poems exceeding the 9-line limit cannot be considered, regardless of their quality, as they will not fit within the calendar’s page design.

Calendar Design

The 2027 edition features a brand-new layout and an improved overall finish.

Selected poems may appear in different positions throughout the calendar. Some may be centred, aligned differently or creatively positioned to complement the individual page design.

Minor formatting adjustments may be made where necessary to accommodate the layout. However, the words of your poem will never be changed without your permission.

If Your Poem Is Selected

Successful contributors will:

  • Be credited by name in the 2027 Poetry Calendar
  • Have their poem published as part of the final calendar
  • Receive an exclusive 5% contributor discount towards the purchase of the 2027 Poetry Calendar

Further information will be provided directly to selected contributors.

Submission Window

Opens: 4 August 2026
Closes: 30 September 2026

Late submissions cannot be accepted, so please allow yourself plenty of time to submit before the deadline.

A Note from Poem Stellium

The 2027 Poetry Calendar is more than a collection of poems.

It is a space for voices exploring the inner landscape of the mind—the memories we revisit, the emotions we carry, the dreams that follow us, the questions we ask ourselves, and the quiet truths that often remain unspoken.

Every selected poem will become part of a community project celebrating creativity, reflection and emotional honesty.

If this theme speaks to you, we would love to read your work.

We look forward to receiving your submission.
