THE POEM STELLIUM ANTHOLOGY: THE BEGINNERS OF A POET’S JOURNEY

To celebrate our upcoming anniversary, we’re creating our first-ever Poem Stellium Anthology — and we want you to be part of it.

This project is a reflection on beginnings — the spark, the first poem, the first moment you realised you were a poet. It’s a space to pause, look back, and honour how it all started.

Theme: The Beginners of a Poet’s Journey
We invite poets to reflect on their poetic awakening — the first time words found them. Maybe it was a childhood poem, a memory, or a moment that changed everything. Tell us about that beginning.

Submission Details

  • Eligibility: UK-based poets, 18+
  • Opening Date: 22 February 2026
  • Closing Date: 29 February 2026
  • Submit: One poem only (up to 150 words)
  • Optional Reflection: Up to 150 words
  • Language: English only
  • Format: Hardcover, in-house release (available exclusively through Poem Stellium)

Selected Poets Will Be:

  • Published and fully credited in the anthology
  • Invited to our launch event
  • Given a discounted copy of the book
  • Offered free entry to Poem Stellium events and open mics

Entry and Donations
Entry is donation-based:

  • £1 minimum donation to submit
  • £10+ donations will be credited in the book as supporters of the artsAll donations go directly back into Poem Stellium — helping fund events, publications, and opportunities for emerging poets. We are proudly independent and community-driven. Every contribution keeps our work alive.

Why UK-only?
For this first anthology, submissions are open to UK residents only. We want to meet, collaborate with, and celebrate the poets we publish — in person. Those selected will have the opportunity to attend events and share their work live. Future anthologies will expand internationally, but this one is dedicated to our home community.
