1. Who can submit to your competitions or submissions?
Our competitions and submissions are open to anyone aged 16 and above. This is in accordance with safeguarding standards and ensures we can legally publish your work while providing the best support to all participants.
2. Are submissions free?
Most of our competitions and submissions are free. Occasionally, there may be a small fee to participate in certain competitions or projects—this helps us maintain and improve our platform, events, and resources.
3. Can I submit if I’m outside of London or the UK?
Absolutely! As long as your work is submitted in English, you can participate from anywhere in the world.
4. Can I join your writing sessions and events?
Yes! We offer both in-person and remote sessions, so no matter where you are, you can take part. Just make sure you’re available according to London, UK time for scheduled sessions.
5. What types of work can I submit?
We welcome poetry, short prose, and other creative writing. For some projects, there may be specific themes or prompts—details are always included in the competition or submission announcement.
6. How will my work be used if selected?
Selected submissions may be published on our website, social media, zines, or anthologies. We always credit the creator.
7. Can I submit work I’ve already published elsewhere?
No. We only accept unpublished work, including pieces shared on social media or self-published.
8. When do submissions open?
Submissions open on an off-and-on basis. If we have other ongoing projects, such as writing sessions, workshops, fairs, or competitions, we may temporarily limit submission openings so our team can provide the best support and attention to each participant.
9. Can I submit work on behalf of someone else?
Yes, as long as the person submitting meets the age requirements and has given permission for you to submit on their behalf.
10. Can I expect a response after submitting my work?
We receive a high volume of submissions, so we may not be able to respond to every submission individually. Please rest assured that each piece is read and considered carefully.
11. Do you have an office I can visit?
No, we do not currently have a physical office. Poem Stellium is an online platform, and our team works remotely from home. In the future, we may explore having a physical space, but for now, all events, submissions, and sessions are managed online.
12. Where are your events hosted?
Most of our events take place in London, UK, although there may occasionally be events held elsewhere. Many of our sessions and workshops are also hosted online to allow participation from anywhere in the world.

14. Can I get feedback on my work?
While we can’t provide individual feedback on every submission, some of our writing sessions and workshops offer constructive guidance and discussion, helping you grow as a writer in a supportive community.

There are lots of ways to participate! Join our interactive workshops, writing sessions, fairs, or community projects, or contribute to our Poem Stellium zines and online features.
16. Do you collaborate with other artists or organizations?
Yes! We love collaboration and connection. From poets and writers to visual artists and musicians, we often team up with like-minded creatives to bring unique projects to life.

Absolutely! We welcome creative suggestions and ideas from our community. Share your thoughts via our contact page, and you might see them in a future project.
18. Are there age or location restrictions for events?
Most of our events are open to 16+ participants, and many are online, so you can join from anywhere in the world. Some in-person events may be limited to London, UK, depending on the venue and project.
19. Do I need to be an experienced writer to participate?
Not at all! We encourage writers of all levels to join. Our sessions and projects are designed to inspire, support, and celebrate creativity, no matter your experience.
