Poem Stellium Submission Policy

We kindly ask all contributors to read and agree to the following terms before submitting work to Poem Stellium.

By submitting, you confirm that you understand and accept these policies.

You retain full copyright of your work.
By submitting, you grant Poem Stellium the non-exclusive right to publish your accepted piece on our website and digital platforms.
Once published, your piece becomes part of our permanent archive and cannot be removed at a later date.
You are welcome to republish your piece in your own creative collections (e.g. books, zines, or personal anthologies), or on platforms that accept reprints — just credit Poem Stellium as the original publisher.
Please be aware that many literary journals do not accept previously published work, so if you plan to submit your piece elsewhere, make sure they accept reprints.

All published work appears in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS as part of our visual house style. Original formatting (e.g. line breaks, italics, punctuation) may not be preserved.
Minor edits may be made to correct spelling, grammar, or punctuation — especially in short stories.
If any changes are necessary, we will contact you for approval before publication.

Please submit one piece per open call (poem, short story, or narrative artwork), unless otherwise stated.
All submissions must be original, unpublished, and in English.
Simultaneous submissions are allowed — just notify us promptly if your piece is accepted elsewhere before we’ve responded.

If your work has previously been published on Poem Stellium via an open call, please wait until we open a competition or special themed round before submitting again.
This helps us amplify as many new voices as possible.

We currently offer two submission types per open call:

Includes a short bio (max 80 words), a professional headshot, and an optional video (e.g. a reading or art showcase)
London-based contributors can request a headshot/video session with our editor
Contributors outside London may submit their own media (must meet our quality standards)
Please note: payment does not guarantee publication — the fee supports Poem Stellium’s running costs and allows us to keep standard submissions free

All funds from featured submissions are reinvested into Poem Stellium to cover:

We do not take personal profit — every penny supports the creative ecosystem.

You retain copyright, but grant us the right to publish and keep your work in our archive
