2027 Poetry Calendar Submissions

Coming Summer 2026

Submissions for the 2027 Poem Stellium Poetry Calendar will soon open.

Theme: Mental health and the unconscious mind

Maximum 9 lines

Title required: maximum 2 words

Open worldwide.

Poem Stellium is preparing its 2027 Poetry Calendar — a creative project centred around mental health, the unconscious mind, and the quiet inner world we carry within us.

This upcoming calendar will bring together original poems that reflect the unseen parts of the self: memory, feeling, instinct, reflection, healing, dreaming, inner conflict, softness, survival, and truth.

We are inviting poets to explore a simple but powerful question:

If your unconscious mind could speak, what would it say?

Submissions are not open yet, but this page is here so you can begin preparing.

Theme

Mental health and the unconscious mind

This theme welcomes poems that explore inner dialogue, emotional depth, memory, silence, survival, healing, subconscious feeling, and the truths we sometimes struggle to name aloud.

You do not need to write in a certain style. You do not need to sound a certain way. The focus is honesty, depth, and creative expression.

Submission Guidelines

When submissions open, poets will be invited to submit:

  • One original poem
  • Maximum 9 lines
  • A poem title is required
  • Titles must be no longer than 2 words
  • One poem per person
  • Open to poets worldwide
  • Poems must be the writer’s own original work

Design Note

The 2027 Poetry Calendar is being created with a complex artistic layout.

This means your poem may appear in different positions within the design — for example, centred, aligned to one side, or placed creatively to suit the page composition.

Line placement and visual arrangement may be adjusted slightly for design purposes, while your poem remains credited to you.

Contributor Details

All selected poets will be:

  • Credited by name in the calendar
  • Included in the final published design
  • Given access to a free calendar copy through a complimentary code

Submission Window

Submissions are expected to open in Summer 2026.

Final opening and closing dates will be announced officially before launch.

A Note from Poem Stellium

This project is about making room for the thoughts, emotions, and inner truths that often go unspoken.

The 2027 Poetry Calendar is being created as a space for reflection, creativity, and emotional honesty — a gathering of voices shaped by depth, memory, and the inner life.

If this theme speaks to you, we hope you’ll submit when the time comes.

Submissions opening soon.
