Submissions — Poetry and Short Stories

WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR SUBMISSIONS.

We are proud to welcome submissions of poetry and short stories.

There are no reading fees, no submission fees, no theme requirements, and no minimum or maximum character count.

Submission Schedule:

We accept submissions twice a year, operating on a term-on, term-off basis.

You are welcome to submit one poem or one short story per open submission term.

Important Guidelines:

  • We accept submissions from writers worldwide.
  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and written in English.
  • Simultaneous submissions are allowed. However, if your work is accepted elsewhere, please notify us immediately.
  • Previously published work is not accepted.
  • No link submissions — please type your poem or short story directly into the provided field or upload it as instructed.

Copyright and Rights:

  • Writers retain full copyright to their work.
  • By submitting, you grant PoemStellium a one-time, non-exclusive right to publish your piece on our platform.
  • Once published, your work will remain on our site unless you request its removal.

Response Time:

  • If selected, a member of our team will contact you within one month of your submission.
  • If you haven’t heard from us after one month, unfortunately, your work was not selected.We encourage you not to be discouraged and to submit again in future calls!

Note:

If your work has previously been published on PoemStellium through an open call, we kindly ask that you do not submit again unless participating in a competition. This policy ensures that we provide opportunities to as many writers as possible.
