Survivors Write: Healing from Sexual Abuse and Assault – with Layla
A monthly writing circle for adult survivors of sexual abuse or sexual assault to reclaim their voices and begin—or continue—their healing through words.
Layla experienced sexual abuse and sexual assault in childhood and adolescence.
She knows the silence, the weight, and the long path of rebuilding.
Today, she shares both her story and her integrative counselling therapy skills to create a gentle space where survivors can write, reflect, and connect—without judgment and entirely at their own pace.
My Goal for These Sessions
My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little lighter—less weighed down by what you’ve been carrying—and more connected to your own strength.
In this safe, non-judgmental space, you can release what has been repressed, explore your story, and find confidence in your voice.
These sessions are about remembering that what happened was not your fault, and beginning to transform even the most painful experiences into resilience, insight, and creative power.
What to Expect
- Small, intimate groups – limited to 10 participants for a sense of safety and care.
- Your pace, your choice – cameras and microphones are optional; you can listen quietly or share when ready.
- Grounding & mindfulness – singing bowls, gentle grounding exercises, and optional meditation to stay present.
- Creative freedom – write for yourself; sharing is always optional.
- Optional publication – participants may submit their writing for possible inclusion in a collective publication—under your name, a pen name, or anonymously.
