THE 2026 POETRY CALENDAR SUBMISSIONS

BE FEATURED IN THE 2026 POETRY CALENDAR

We’re putting together a one-of-a-kind black and white poetry calendar for 2026 — and you could be one of 12 featured poets.

Each month, one winning poem will be selected to represent that month. This is your chance to be part of something creative, meaningful, and widely shared through Poem Stellium.

HOW IT WORKS

  • We’re selecting 12 poems, one for each month of 2026.
  • You may submit up to 2 poems per month.
  • You may submit for as many or as few months as you’d like (yes, even all 12 — that’s up to 24 poems total).
  • Titles are optional — short, concise titles are welcome.
  • All poems must be submitted in English.
  • Only original, unpublished work is accepted — including poems that haven’t been posted on social media, blogs, or self-published in any form.

HOW TO SUBMIT

  • Please submit via the form on this page (preferred).
  • If you’re unable to access or use the form, you may submit your poems by email to: submissions@poemstellium.com. If submitting by email, please include the month you are submitting for in the subject line, e.g.2026 Calendar Submission – April.
  • Do not send PDFs. Submit your work in the body of the email or as a .doc / .docx / .txt file.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING

When you submit your work to the Poem Stellium 2026 Poetry Calendar, please understand the following:

If your poem is selected for publication, you CANNOT back out at any time.

This is final.

We know this sounds serious — because it is.

Once your poem is chosen, we begin building the calendar around your contribution. Backing out causes disruption and delays, and we are unable to accommodate changes after acceptance.

By submitting your work, you are granting us permission to publish your poem in the 2026 calendar, and that permission cannot be revoked once selected.

So please — only submit work you are happy, proud, and ready to share with the world.

No take-backs. No cold feet.

Your words matter. Make sure you’re ready for them to land where they belong.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT

Submissions close on August 26th, 2025, unless we close earlier due to high volume.

Please note: We are a small team. If we receive an overwhelming number of entries, we may close early on August 15th. We recommend submitting by then to avoid missing out.

POEM GUIDELINES

  • Your poem should be no more than 20 lines long.
  • Titles (if included) should be under 12 words.
  • Your work should reflect what the chosen month means to you — personal, emotional, symbolic, or abstract.
  • The calendar is not seasonal, but you’re welcome to write with the seasons in mind.
  • Again: Only original, unpublished work may be submitted.

CREDITS & CONTRIBUTOR INFO

  • All selected poets will be credited by name in the calendar.
  • Please state what name you’d like printed if selected (real name or pen name).
  • Once selected, participation is final — we do not accept retractions after the calendar is confirmed.

PERKS FOR SELECTED POETS

If your poem is selected:

  • You will be credited by name in the calendar (pen name or real name — your choice).
  • You will receive a free printed copy of the calendar if you are based in London, UK.
  • We are hoping to offer free calendars to all selected poets, regardless of location — however, this depends on shipping costs and feasibility. We will do our best to reach you.

  • Attend or perform at Poem Stellium events in 2026.
  • Receive free tickets to poetry fairs or showcases.
  • Share your poem live at one of our open mic nights (optional, not mandatory).

about the calendar

  • The calendar will also be available to purchase online. If you’d like your own copy, or additional copies to gift or keep, you’re more than welcome to purchase one. more information will be provided.
  • All proceeds from calendar sales go directly back into Poem Stellium — helping us run future services, events, workshops, creative spaces, and opportunities for artists like you.

INTERNATIONAL SUBMISSIONS WELCOME

No matter where you are in the world, you’re welcome to submit.

Please note: We operate in the UK time zone — once submissions close, late entries will not be accepted.

  • PARTICIPATE IN POEM STELLIUM EVENTS AND POETRY FAIRS IN 2026.
  • RECEIVE FREE TICKETS OR ENTRY TO POEM STELLIUM EVENTS IN THE LONDON AREA.
  • PERFORM YOUR FEATURED POEM AT AN OPEN MIC EVENT OR SHOWCASE (OPTIONAL, NOT MANDATORY).
