Poetry Manuscript Submissions

We are currently closed for submissions and will reopen in 2026

At Poem Stellium, we take poetry publishing very seriously. As an online publisher, we have made a deliberate and thoughtful decision to focus on bringing powerful voices to the world. We are here to give space and visibility to those whose voices are often unseen, providing them with the opportunity to share their poetry and their journeys.

However, we also recognize that the responsibility of publishing is significant. Our aim is not to simply select anyone — we are looking for poetry that moves, transcends, and transforms not just the lives of others, but also the lives of the authors who have shaped it.

We want poetry that has the ability to change the way people think, feel, and see the world. We want poetry that is raw, genuine, and reflects the experiences that have deeply shaped the poet’s journey. When we select a poet for publication, it is with intention — because we believe that their words have the power to transform and help others.

The fact that we have chosen this path is a serious decision for us, and we do not take it lightly. Our work is rooted in purpose, and we are here to help elevate voices that are ready to make a lasting impact.

What We Accept

  • Full-length poetry manuscripts only (no fiction, non-fiction, or hybrid works)
  • Manuscript length: 30–60 pages (maximum 80 pages)
  • Original, unpublished work (or previously self-published works where you retain full rights)

Submission Options

  • Free Submission Periods — We occasionally open free periods, perfect for poets experiencing financial hardship, such as those on Universal Credit.
  • Standard Submissions (Outside Free Periods) — If accepted, a £100 publishing fee will apply to cover ISBN registration, formatting, and in-house cover design.

How To Submit

  1. Complete the Poetry Manuscript Submission Form below.
  2. Upload your complete manuscript as a PDF file.
  3. Await our response — if you do not hear back within 8 weeks, your manuscript has not been accepted. Due to the high volume of submissions, we are unable to send individual rejection notices.

What Happens If Accepted?

Accepted authors will work closely with the PoemStellium team on:

  • Professional in-house cover design (we do not accept external or custom cover designs to maintain a unified visual identity)
  • Basic formatting, proofreading, and publication
  • Optional additional editing services (available at a separate fee)
  • A clear, fair royalty agreement — authors always retain full copyright
